GP Recruitment

GP locum and permanent recruitment across Australia.

We connect general practitioners with medical practices and regional health services, from short locum and float cover to permanent roles in metro, regional and rural Australia.

For practices and health services

GPs for practices, medical centres and regional services.

Whether you need a locum to cover leave, a float GP to fill gaps across your clinics or a permanent doctor to grow your practice, we start with the practical details: billing model, patient mix, location and what your team needs.

Common questions

Good to know.

Can you find a GP locum at short notice?

Often, yes, depending on location, dates and the billing arrangements on offer. Let us know the dates, the practice's location and Modified Monash or DPA status, and whether travel and accommodation are covered.

What is a Distribution Priority Area (DPA)?

A DPA is a location the Australian Government classifies as having a shortage of GP services. Many overseas-trained doctors, and some other doctors with Medicare provider number restrictions, need to work in a DPA to bill Medicare. We can help match doctors with DPA roles.

What does a GP need to work as a locum?

General or specialist registration with AHPRA, a Medicare provider number for the location, professional indemnity insurance, and either Fellowship (FRACGP or FACRRM) or an approved pathway, plus the practice's own credentialing requirements.

Do you recruit permanent GPs as well as locums?

Yes. We help practices with permanent GP appointments as well as locum and float cover.

Where can I see current GP jobs?
